Perplexum
Taking cues from the natural world, Alldredge aims to reinforce the belief that beauty is part of the sacred through his work. "Perplexum" is a 48 x 48 square canvas featuring a pattern Alan made using a mold that casts plaster onto cotton duck. The interconnected geometric shapes forming a maze-like layout. This piece is primarily white with texture and includes patches where the top layer has eroded, revealing underlying tones of gray, creating an aged, weathered appearance.
