About the Artist
James Zamora is a contemporary realist painter investigating ongoing trends and popular products and their effects on the consumer. Zamora's educational background forms a strong foundation for his artistic practice. He was born in Graham, TX in 1988 and earned his B.F.A. in painting and drawing from The University of North Texas in 2010, and then his MFA in painting from Texas Woman’s University in 2015. This training has honed his technical skills, allowing him to capture the complexities of his subjects with precision.
Despite his relatively young age, Zamora has already made significant strides in the art world. He exhibits nationally on a regular basis with five galleries, a testament to the appeal and relevance of his work. His paintings have found homes in numerous personal and public collections, further solidifying his reputation in the contemporary art scene.
