Anke's father introduced her to the wonders of the camera early in life. Anke took the form readily and with enthusiasm. During high school, she apprenticed with a number of artists in the New York area. She was awarded a scholarship to the Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned a bachelor's degree in fine art.
