Growing up in the Mennonite culture of Lancaster County, PA, Douglas Witmer's deep connections to simplicity, peacemaking and humility began at an early age. Through his color-driven visual experiences, he has steadily pursued a personal inquiry into the materiality of seeing, perception, feeling and memory for over two decades.

Brenda Zappitell creates abstract expressionist works not only born out of intuition, but also serendipitously influenced by nature and her life experiences. Her mark-making, though serendipitous, reflects these influences.
