Time Will Tell

Mixed media artist Kristen Abbott’s "The Language of Leaves" series explores the symbolism found in foliage. Abbott begins with the cyanotype process, carefully foraging leaves and arranging them on natural fiber surfaces coated with a light-sensitive emulsion. The leaves and fabric are then exposed to the Colorado sun and subtly modified with organic compounds, watercolor, and pan pastels.
